3. Violin Solo – The Spring of XinJiang Performer: Flora Liu
This a beloved Chinese violin solo piece co-composed in 1956 by Ma Yaoxian (a Hui ethnic violinist) and Li Zhonghan. Drawing richly from Uyghur folk music traditions of Xinjiang, the work bursts with authentic Central Asian flavor—vibrant, exuberant, and full of free-spirited passion.

Fang C. Brill M.M.
Fang Brill holds a graduate diploma in violin performance from the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music.
She was appointed assistant professor of violin at the Nanjing College of Fine Arts at a very young age (20). Ms. Brill has played as a soloist with the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra in Nanjing, China, and the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra in Wooster, OH USA among others.
Currently, she enjoys performing with several professional orchestras in the Central Florida area, as well as teaching students, both private and college. Many of her violin students have gone on to play professionally.
